Situated in the heart of Staten Island at 3935 Amboy Road, Piccolino Ristorante NY delivers an authentic Italian fine dining experience marked by impeccable flavors and a warm, inviting atmosphere. This restaurant masterfully blends classic Italian culinary traditions with a modern touch, offering a diverse menu that captivates both the eye and the palate.
At Piccolino, every dish tells a story of rich Italian heritage. From the delicate Veal Martini and perfectly pan-seared Filet of Sole to aromatic and hearty pastas like the Rigatoni Funghi & Sausage and the vibrant Orecchiette w Broc Rabe tossed in garlic oil, each plate is a symphony of flavors. Seafood lovers will delight in the fresh, tender Zuppa de Pesce or the crispy, golden Coconut Shrimp, while meat aficionados can savor the succulent Rack of Lamb or the satisfying Veal Parmigiana. The menu is thoughtfully rounded out with refined salads such as the Bianca Endive with its parmaesan and mustard lemon dressing and the sweet, tangy Mela salad featuring crispy goat cheese and apple vinaigrette.
The indulgence continues with dessert offerings that perfectly close the meal — from the creamy richness of the Italian Cheesecake Tiramisu Ice Cream to the decadently molten Chocolate Lava Cake and a classic, silky NY Cheesecake. Pair any course with a selection from their fine wine list or enjoy the vibrant, refreshing Sangria for a complete sensory dining adventure.
What truly sets Piccolino apart is its ability to create memorable experiences alongside remarkable cuisine. Guests often praise the restaurant’s ability to cater flawlessly to special occasions — one customer, Dani Scarcella, celebrated her son’s communion in their charming outdoor room, which allowed for personalized décor and lively entertainment, all complemented by the generous offerings of unlimited wine and sangria. The attentive and accommodating staff ensure that every detail is handled with care, bringing a sense of ease and joy to any gathering.
The ambiance walks a perfect line between elegant and relaxed, enhanced by subtle live entertainment that adds a touch of Italian charm without overpowering conversation. Whether you're savoring the pristine zucchini sticks appetizer, enjoying the delicate lemon brandy sauce over salmon as Susan Young fondly recalled, or indulging in a leisurely cappuccino to finish, every moment feels special here.
While the atmosphere is generally warm and engaging, some guests have noted that service can occasionally be a touch slow during quieter periods — a small quibble in an otherwise exceptional outing. Meanwhile, the combination of generous portions and high-quality ingredients makes this a standout choice for those seeking authentic Italian fare that doesn’t compromise on generosity or flavor.
If you’re visiting for lunch, their weekday menu is a tempting option offering Italian classics like the Chicken Parm Sandwich and the Meatball Pesto Sandwich, all customizable with combos including fries or house salad paired with a soda or iced tea. This versatility caters to those who want a swift yet flavorful meal in a comfortable setting.
Parking might pose a slight challenge during peak times; however, convenient municipal parking across the street eases access, allowing you to focus fully on the culinary delights within. As many returning guests attest, Piccolino Ristorante NY is a place where the food is truly the star — abundant, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared — making every visit an experience to savor and remember.
Just had my son’s communion in the outdoor room and it was perfect. They let me set up / decorate the entire room the way I wanted, were fine with me having a large balloon arch with a hoop and entertainers for the kid. The food was amazing and the unlimited sangria/wine was a good choice! My family is still talking about it. The staff was accomodating, even with 2 other parties going on at the same time. They had heaters to warm the room up once it got cold. 10/10. Highly recommend!
Excellent dinner from start to finish! The salmon with the lemon brandy sauce was superb as was the fillet of sole francaise. The Zucchini stick appetizer was cooked perfectly and the cheesecake was so fresh and light. It was amazing. Everything down to the cappuccino was perfection. Our server Enzo was excellent and the singer was a lot of fun. Can’t wait to come back!
Food is great, all 3 plates order was fabulous!!! The presentation definitely was great. Atmosphere is very nice. Services is not the best. The place was not busy, 3 tables plus use and we felt forgotten. I order the unlimited drinks and just to get a refill took for every. So if you are not in a hurry, go for it!
The food is the star here. Everything is just delicious and plentiful. My husband ordered the prix fixe osso bucco and mussels. Yum. I had barolo meat, which was stacked with yummy veggie layers. Had leftovers today and I swear, it’s even better. Here, you get plenty of bang for the buck. The hard part is parking, but there is municipal across the street - very convenient. And, the shopping plaza plus the leftover pandemic outdoor add on is not very welcoming, especially on a rainy day. Nevertheless, we loved it here and can’t wait to come back again.
Want to extend our most sincere compliments to the owners and the entire staff of Piccolinos for their hosting of a wonderful holiday party last night. From start to finish, the staff was incredibly professional, courteous and attentive to a large ( and sometimes challenging) group. The food was excellent in every regard and served promptly and professionally by a relatively small staff. There was excellent entertainment provided as well ( thank you Teresa) and a good time was had by all!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
HIDDEN GEM! Located in the heart of great kills town Staten Island NY tucked away in the corner of a parking lot. Great service, great portions, and outstanding food. I put this place in top 5 on the island. Food is always cooked fresh and the combination of how they put it together just work. Sometimes this place doesn’t have a seat available so call and check.we always go big here cause food is so good but you can get your money’s worth for sure.
Tucked into an unassuming strip mall, Piccolino's serves excellent food and has attentive service. My husband and I ordered from the luncheon specials menu, and each of the three courses was delicious, well presented and generous. This is a great restaurant and you will be happy you came here for a meal.
